Stanley M. Isaacs Neighborhood Center


The Isaacs Center is a major multi-service social service agency founded in 1964 in the settlement house tradition. Our mission, in working with the poor, the isolated and disconnected of all ages, genders, backgrounds and abilities, is to promote social and physical well-being and encourage growth, self-reliance and dignity throughout every stage of life.

Our services include Meals on Wheels, a senior center and supportive services, after school and evening programs for children and teens, youth employment and educational services, and community, cultural and educational enrichment for all ages.

The Gillen Brewer School

The Gillen Brewer School is dedicated to transforming the lives of young children who have a wide variety of language, learning, emotional and developmental disabilities. From Pre-School to fifth grade, GBS specializes in educating children with challenging and often multiple disabilities, including language-based and non-verbal learning disabilities.

NYC Elite

NYC Elite has New York City’s finest gymnastics program. We provide an exciting and safe learning environment for children of all ages. From our youngest tumbler to our exceptional competitive team programs, all of NYC Elite’s gymnasts are starz!

E. 93rd Street Block Association, Inc.

The East 93rd Street Block Association, Inc. is comprised of residents and local businesses in our neighborhood. It is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization established to address quality of life issues, including beautification, maintenance of our sidewalks, security, construction and sanitation which affect our neighborhood in the East 90’s and in particular East 93rd Street between First and Second Avenue.


The Art Farm In The City

Initially The Art Farm in The City began offering Mommy & Me classes and birthday parties and has now expanded to a pre-school, gentle separation Play Group, summer camp, after school classes and drop in Play Time and Open House for children ages 6 months to 8 years. Mari and Valentina are proud mothers and enjoy working in a child-friendly environment.

We are an NYC woman-owned clothing recycling company. We collect post-consumer textiles to keep them out of landfills and give people here in the USA and around the world a chance to have clothing.


NYC Park Advocates

NYC Park Advocates Inc. is a non-profit, non-partisan watchdog group dedicated to improving public parks, restoring public funding, increasing public recreation programs, expanding open space and accessibility, and achieving the equitable distribution of these vital services in New York City for all. We are the only non-profit park advocacy group dedicated to all City, State and Federal parkland in New York City.

Carl Schurz Park Conservancy

The mission of the Carl Schurz Park Conservancy is to restore and beautify Carl Schurz Park, complementing the efforts of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. Our goal is to enhance the public’s enjoyment and involvement in the Park. The Conservancy organizes volunteers to execute its projects and sponsors community events that are open to all.

Carnegie Hill Neighbors

The primary mission of Carnegie Hill Neighbors has always been to preserve our architectural heritage, characterized by the stately historic buildings that give Carnegie Hill its special look. Most of the treasured mansions and 19th century row house blocks of Carnegie Hill are protected by the Landmark Preservation Commission’s designation of individual landmarks and two historic districts covering 40 percent of this hilly, tree-lined area.


East Side Middle School PTA

The primary mission of the East Side Middle School PTA is to promote an effective educational environment for its student, promote communication and cooperation amongst the parents, faculty and administration, provide parents with first hand information about the East Side Middle School itself and events in the school. The entity was also established to solicit, receive, maintain and disburse funds to provide materials, equipment, programming and personnel to assist in the education of the students in the school.


The East Side Democratic Club

The mission of the East Side Democratic Club is to provide a strong, liberal, and honest Democratic organization in the 76th Assembly District, Part B., by serving as a link between residents of Yorkville and the Upper East Side and our elected officials and governmental institutions. Providing residents with opportunities to learn about issues affecting the area and hear and question our elected officials. Advocating for issues of concern to our members and our community, and supporting candidates endorsed by our members.


The Nightingale Bamford School

Founded in 1920, Nightingale is an independent K-12 girls’ school that provides a classical curriculum to motivated students of varied backgrounds, interests, and talents.The mission of the Nightingale-Bamford School is to educate the minds and the hearts of its students in a challenging, vibrant community that prizes academic excellence.


Gracie Point Community Council

We are a neighborhood coalition of citizens, business people, corporations and institutions united by a common concern that Mayor Bloomberg’s intention to build a major garbage-processing facility on the site of the 91st Street Marine Transfer Station threatens the quality of life and the health of those who live in its vicinity. We also share in common the conviction that all of New York City will suffer if the creation this facility blights one of its most vibrant and diverse neighborhoods, home to families, schools, and Gracie Mansion as well as a beautiful riverside park. It is our purpose to prevent the construction of the new garbage-processing facility in our neighborhood or the reopening of the existing facility.


Yorkville Youth Athletic Association

Yorkville Youth Athletic Association programs operate each weekend, and on various days during the week, for boys and girls in grades Pre-K through 12. We have over 2,500 children participating in various sports, performing arts, and after school programs throughout the city. We exist to serve the children and families of New York City through quality programs that promote community and friendship.

Eleanor Roosevelt High School Parent Association

The purpose of Eleanor Roosevelt High School Parent Teacher Association is to support an interactive relationship between high school parents, staff and the surrounding community of the Upper East Side of Manhattan, including, for example, museums, non-profit organizations, charitable organizations, and colleges. To disseminate pertinent school related information to all parents. To encourage and support parents to participate in school governance and educational decision-making. To create opportunities that will enable parents, staff and administration to be partners in their children’s education, and to raise funds to support the educational goals of the Eleanor Roosevelt High School.

East Side Elementary School, PS 267 is a community of learners where wonderers come to learn, where observation and imagination are celebrated and where the question “why” is welcomed and encouraged. It is academically rigorous, with a strong foundation in math and literacy and an emphasis on science, social studies and the arts. Our goal is to ensure that the wonder and excitement that students bring with them not only lasts, but also deepens as they journey through elementary school and into middle school.

The organization’s purpose is to oppose the City’s horribly misguided plan to build a 2 acre, 10-story marine transfer station at East 91st Street that will harm Yorkville/East Harlem, and to promote a discussion regarding sane trash solutions.
